About The Collaboration
Monad was one of the first collaborations between Rising Film, director Larissa Saldarini, producer and production designer Edoardo Taloni, and actor Adam Langley. The project established a creative partnership that would continue across several independent productions, built around visual experimentation and practical filmmaking.

Overview / Synopsis
Monad is a psychological science-fiction short that explores isolation, perception and human identity through minimalist storytelling. The film combines intimate performances with stylized visuals, creating the feeling of a much larger world through carefully controlled environments.
Production Background
Despite its ambitious science-fiction setting, Monad was produced almost entirely inside a 35-square-metre apartment, while the spacecraft interiors were built and filmed inside the trunk of a car. Through production design, cinematography and practical visual effects, the project demonstrates how creative planning and resourceful filmmaking can transform limited spaces into believable cinematic environments.
